A suspicious vehicle complaint has led to the recovery of a stolen truck and camper near Goldonna according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.

On Tuesday afternoon, August 13, 2024 at approximately 1:30pm, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports of a suspicious vehicle and camper abandoned off of the Mammy Trail and Rice Road near Goldonna, La.

Deputies responded to the area and discovered the Nissan Titan pickup truck and a XLR Hyper Lite camper trailer parked off the road near a wooded area. Deputies ran vehicle identification numbers through the National Crime Information Center and learned both were reported stolen, the pickup truck stolen in Natchitoches Parish on August 3rd, and the camper stolen in Texas.

A NPSO Detective responded to photograph and process the crime scene for investigative purposes. A local wrecker service responded to impound both the truck and camper until they could be picked up by owners.

No suspects were observed in the area.
