Title:  JOINT OPERATION LEADS TO ARRESTS OF TWO CAMPTI MEN ON NARCOTICS, WEAPONS AND PROBATION VIOLATION CHARGES

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Louisiana State Probation and Parole Agents and NMJDTF Agents have arrested two Campti men on felony drug and probation violation charges that resulted in the seizure of narcotics and weapons according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday afternoon July 31 shortly after 1:00pm, Agents assigned to the Natchitoches Ofice of State Probation and Parole contacted NPSO Deputies requesting assistance while they conducted a probation compliance visit of Sylvester Millage residence on Mill Street in Campti, La.

Millage was on felony probation due to a prior felony conviction in Natchitoches Parish.

Deputies assigned to patrols in the area had knowledge of Millage residing at a residence in the 100 block of Lebrum Street and relayed that information to Probation and Parole Agents.

Deputies accompanied probation agents to the residence where they made contact with Sylvester Millage, Wesley Smith and an unidentified female.

Shortly afterwards the owner of the property arrived stating Millage had been living in the residence but he had no permission to do so.

NMJDTF Agents also responded to the scene to assist per request of Probation and Parole.

A search of the residence led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, five suspected hydrocodone narcotic pills, two suspected alprazolam narcotic pills, baggies commonly used to store illegal narcotics, smoking apparatus’s used to smoke illegal narcotics, weighing scales, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, .25 caliber handgun and 12-gauge shotgun.

As a result, deputies arrested:



Sylvester Jermaine Millage, 28, of Campti, La. transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 1-count of Possession of CDS II Methamphetamine, 1-count of Possession of CDS Schedule II Hydrocodone , 1-Count of Possession of CDS Schedule IV Alprazolam, 3-counts of Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Person convicted of a Felony, 1-count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 3-cts. of Illegal Possession of a Firearm during a Felony Narcotics Offense, and Probation Violation.




Wesley M. Smith, 30, of the 300 block of Sandy Point Road, Campti, La. transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Probation Violation.

Both subjects remain in the Natchitoches Detention Center.

Deputies believe Millage was using the residence to facilitate illegal narcotics activity.

Involved in the arrests were: Louisiana Probation and Parole Agents, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division and NMJDTF Agents.
