Date:  07/31/2017

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Ashland Police arrested a Bienville Parish man on traffic and criminal charges near Ashland on Friday evening according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday evening at approximately 8:40pm, Ashland Police Chief Fred Holland contacted the NPSO requesting assista...nce after he received calls from a frightened Ashland resident reporting that a White SUV had drove into her yard cut donuts and left rapidly.

Deputies also had information that a vehicle traveling out of Red River Parish on La. Hwy 155 had ran motorists off the roadway.

Chief Holland responded to the area learning that a white Chevrolet Tahoe had left the area traveling towards Creston on La. Hwy 153.

NPSO Deputies were also enroute to intercept the vehicle.

Shortly thereafter, Chief Holland contacted the NPSO 911 Center reporting that he had the 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe stopped on La. Hwy 153.

Deputies arrived on scene identifying 30-year-old Bryan Wade Patton of Jamestown, La. as the operator of the vehicle.

During the traffic stop, deputies observed Patton’s coordination appeared to be impaired.

Deputies say Patton became combative and was placed under arrest.

The vehicle was impounded. An inventory led to the discovery of alcoholic beverage containers inside the vehicle.

Patton was transported to the Natchitoches Parish Detention for a chemical test for intoxication where he remained combative attempting to fight deputies during the booking process.

He also refused the chemical test.

Deputies arrested:

Bryan Wade Patton, 30, of the 5000 block of La. Hwy 507, Jamestown, La. was booked, charged with DWI 1st Offense, Driving under Suspension, Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Vehicle, Resisting an Officer and 2-counts of Simple Criminal Damage to Property as a result of damages done to private Ashland residents property.

Patton remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting bond.
